Sigrid de l’Épine is one of those rare women whose presence outshines her clothes. Starting out as a model, she gained early access behind the scenes at major fashion houses before going on to hold positions there for more than twenty years in the areas of design, product development, and brand image. At Hermès, she was part of Martin Margiela’s formative years and discovered an elegance rooted in subtlety, precision, and an intelligent understanding of clothing. She then joined Balenciaga just as Nicolas Ghesquière was redefining the contours of contemporary fashion, before moving to Chanel, where, as head of Haute Couture, she worked closely with Karl Lagerfeld’s creative team. This journey through three major fashion houses has not only enriched her understanding of fashion; it has forged a vision of rare precision, capable of distinguishing what is merely a trend from what has already become part of history.

After many years of experience in the luxury sector, she founded DEL’EP, her own leather goods brand, with a meticulous approach in which craftsmanship, functionality, and durability take precedence over mere aesthetics.

For this sale, Sigrid envisioned each look as a conversation between fashion houses, designers, and decades. A Chanel jacket meets distressed denim; Balenciaga engages in dialogue with Tom Ford; the archives blend with everyday wear. She puts together her looks with joyful freedom, playing with contrasts and references without ever drawing attention to them. Nothing is ostentatious; everything seems natural. No manifesto. No nostalgia. With that effortless confidence unique to women who don’t try to be elegant—they already are.

About DEL’EP

DEL’EP was born from an idea: Sigrid de l’Epine, who no longer wanted to waste her precious time looking for her glasses, set out to find a glasses case—but to no avail:“I looked for one, couldn’t find it, so I created it.” It was with this first case that she launched her line of leather cases to keep her everyday items protected and within easy reach (glasses, keys, phone, laptop, etc.). Designed and crafted in France, the collection features leather cases and accessories with a minimalist design, made for everyday use. Each piece is crafted from French vegetable-tanned leather using artisanal methods that prioritize quality, durability, and respect for traditional craftsmanship. Discreet, functional, and timeless leather goods.
