Rare documentation, studio sketches, runway show invitations, annotated photographs, lookbooks, sumptuously embroidered textiles, historical magazines, garments and accessories – all fragments that make up a living memory of fashion.

We come across Jean-Paul Gaultier, whose many preparatory drawings bear witness to a mind in motion, Comme des Garçons and its collaborations with the greatest photographers, Thierry Mugler, Claude Montana, Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake, or Lesage embroideries and paper archives linked to Dior, Schiaparelli or Jean Dessès – all milestones in a cross-disciplinary and erudite history, crisscrossed by his obsessions.
