Alberto Brusamolino’s jewelry collection

At 60, Alberto Brusamolino embodies a rare elegance: that of a man whose passion for fashion and jewelry has been built over time, with sincerity and erudition. Based in the XIᵉ arrondissement of Paris, he founded the Less is More Projects gallery, a singular space where fashion accessories and works of art freely dialogue. This space reflects the coherence of his approach: linking instinct and culture, the eye and the hand, childhood memories and today’s quest.

It all began in Florence, in the fascinating world of Lusi, his whimsical aunt, who passed on to him the keys to the bellezza fiorentina. A flamboyant personality in the manner of a Marquise Casati, she introduced him to elegance and extravagance at an early age. She would dress little Albertino in short pants and a woolen overcoat in her store window like a living mannequin. At her side, he discovered the artisanal workshops of Pucci and Gucci in Florence, where his taste for fashion was born. His first purchase was not a piece of jewelry, but a Gaultier jacket from the “Les Rabbins chics” collection (AH 1993/94), bought while working in an avant-garde Florentine boutique. Shortly afterwards, he acquired a crocodile-shell cuff created for the 20th anniversary of Rive Gauche, an emblematic piece that inaugurated a collection dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent, his great love.

Alberto favors his designs from 1966 to 1980, which are more experimental and refined than later productions. His collection includes rare jewels from the 1971 Scandal collection, as well as pieces by Ugo Correani for Karl Lagerfeld and Versace, alongside Valentino creations. and Krizia, witnesses to a golden age of Italian fashion. Her eye is drawn to the unsung, the almost secret.

Alberto is driven by research. Each piece of jewelry is studied, documented and placed in its historical and stylistic context. His approach, erudite but never ostentatious, is based on true fidelity to the spirit of the designers he admires.

It’s this intimate and passionate universe that the public can discover on the occasion of the auction of some fifty jewels from his personal collection. Patinated by time, bearers of stories and singular aesthetics, these jewels embody the rare taste of a collector for whom beauty is above all a sensitive adventure.
